Why I joined EmGen

To connect with young people who share my interests and passions, and to learn more about regenerative agriculture so that I can apply this new knowledge in my work as a chef.

Interests

I would like to change the way that people connect with the food on their plate and enable them to make better food choices for themselves and the planet.

Knowledge signposts

👨🏽‍🍳 Ballymaloe Organic Farm and Cookery School, County Cork, Ireland

📚 Ravenous - Henry Dimbleby

📘 What Your Food Ate - David Montgomery and Anne Biklé

Educational/training highlights

  • Studied Natural Sciences at Cambridge University

  • Since then I have taken a career change into food by attending Ballymaloe Cookery School in County Cork, Ireland

  • I became a private chef with a passion for great ingredients: local, seasonal, nourishing and regenerative.

  • I am learning on the job as the food course coordinator at Groundschool - a new learning centre for food and farming in Hertfordshire.

How I can support other members

If anyone needs great food for an event I'd be more than happy to collaborate!

My next steps

I'm looking to design impactful courses about regenerative food and cooking and I'd be very interested to connect with anyone who has experience teaching in this area.
