About the event
Join members of the Emergent Generation network for the day for a free in-depth tour of Proctor Bros Farm, a renowned, family-owned regenerative farm in Sutton Bridge, Lincolnshire.
Regenerative Farming Support and fellow Em Gen'r Melissa Walker will show us the diverse regenerative land management that is happening at Lighthouse Farm. The main points of focus will include the regenerative and pasture-fed grazing of the farm’s cattle and sheep, and their integration into the arable system. We’ll discuss how Proctor Bros approach the direct sales of meat, cropping trials and how they use Johnson Su composting and apply it.
The family have been working with nature to grow food since 1840. With a strong focus on long-term soil health, and building a resilient, low-impact farming system, this tour offers a rare opportunity to explore how regenerative practices are put into action on a commercial scale.
