Farming, and society generally is going through huge changes in reaction to the challenges faced by the climate crisis, and more recently, shifting geo-politics. The introduction of new technologies could help advance our ambitions for a move to more sustainable farming practices, both environmentally and economically. The broader impact these new technologies could have however is still unclear, and when we look to the past, things are not black and white.
