Join us online this February for a talk and a catch up! EmGen’r, Magda Nawrocka-Weekes will be discussing: Seed Keeping- The basics of plant breeding, seed saving and climate resilience.

Humans and plants have evolved alongside each other for millennia, but with the rise of mass agriculture and the privatisation of seed, the art of Seed Keeping needs renewal. This talk will discuss basic genetics, seed-saving techniques and practices and how seed has a vital role to play in climate resilience. 

Magda is a poet, witch and farmer. She loves folklore, pop culture and the stuff in between. When not saving seeds or working in the field, they focus on fostering connection within ourselves and to the lands we inhabit. She writes the Scrap Farm newsletter on Substack.
