Abi Gwynn
Interests
I am driven by a passion to be a diligent custodian of the natural environment through building agroecological food and farming systems, for the benefit of animals, communities, and the climate. Market gardening is my expression of this passion, and I hold strong values of community involvement and accessibility to ecologically-produced food. I am a passionate advocate for the 'scaling-out' of market gardens, and enjoy engaging different groups of people on the topics of food, environment, education, and health. I also enjoy spending time in the kitchen experimenting with recipes, particularly being inventive with my own or local, seasonal produce.

Knowledge signposts
Why I joined EmGen
Em Gen was the first time I felt I had a community of people who also felt passionate about growing food as a mechanism to make change in the world.
How I can support other members
I love collaborating and sharing knowledge with others. We are stronger together and don't need to reinvent the wheel in many circumstances. I am happy to share ideas on growing techniques and food education, collaborate on outreach events, host and organise farm visits, etc.!
My next steps
I am currently enjoying honing my growing skills in organic market gardening and organisational management, and am keen to experience as many different approaches and practises as possible in order to apply the most effective techniques to my own situation.
