Rosalie Sanders
Interests
Developing regenerative systems, soil health, soil carbon sequestration as a climate solution, the potential for a soil carbon credit market.
Educational/training highlights
I completed the MSc Agroecology course at Harper Adams in 2022 and have done three regenerative soil health courses with Niels Corfield at FarmED which were fantastic. In Australia and New Zealand I spent 4 weeks travelling around meeting regenerative farmers and hearing about their experiences which has taught me a lot about their motivations as well as their practical management strategies.
Knowledge signposts
Why I joined EmGen
I joined Emergent Generation as a way to meet like-minded people, widen my knowledge of regenerative agriculture in the UK and to help myself find work in the sector. I am a very recent member, but so far have found a fellow member in my area, met some lovely people at the Groundswell meet-up and have applied and interviewed for a job advertised via Emergent Generation. I look forward to future meet-ups and knowledge sharing events
How I can support other members
I am looking forward to meeting more fellow members and can offer support with travel tips for seeing regenerative agriculture in Australia and New Zealand or sharing my experience of the MSc Agroecology course at Harper Adams.
My next steps
My next step is to find a job that will propel me into the UK’s regenerative industry. I hope to be at the forefront of changing practise as the sector grows, helping farmers transition to a regenerative model of farming and being an advocate for the sector.
Rosalie Sanders
Just returned from 2 years working and travelling in Australia and New Zealand, learning about regenerative agriculture in different climates and gaining more knowledge of different sectors of agriculture. Currently looking to get a trainee agronomy role in the UK. I am currently back with my parents on the family beef and sheep farm on exmoor.
